Easter Weekend

Jordan had Friday off of work. We left and drove down to Monticello and stayed in a cheap motel. Josie loved being out of the car and in a new place. She explored the whole room several times cooing because she was so excited. Friday we drove to Mesa Verde National Park. It was so fun, to be outside, hiking and seeing such cool ruins. We had to hurry and so we hope we can go back soon and see the whole park. We then drove to Farmington NM to my sister Brenda's house. Long drives through Indian Reservations and a whole lot of nothing. Once there we went camping out at Angel Peak. We had dutch oven and saw a beautiful sunset. Saturday we came back to Farmington cleaned up and went to a easter egg hunt. Then we went and played Frisbee and had Easter dinner. We colored eggs and relaxed watching North and South ( a pride and prejudice type movie). Sunday we went to the Spanish Branch with Brenda and Fran and then drove home. We stopped in Blanding to see an college friend of mine. It was such a fun trip and so good to see family and visit. A long drive, but well worth it. Oh yeah on our drive through Moab we got to see all the jeeps from the Jeep Safari. Next on our wish list a JEEP!!

Spring is here

Josie and Carly enjoying the beautiful spring weather
We made bird feeders with peanut butter and acorns. So far no birds yet.
Our date night on Friday we went to McDonald's and got ice cream cones.

We went on a hike up behind the golf course. We just hiked up a dry wash. I used my new pack and Josie rode with Daddy in our pack from the D.I.

Easter Egg hunt in Price. Josie and I practiced all week picking up eggs and she did rather well on Saturday picking up her own. There were so many eggs and little kids, it was crazy.

More projects

Our little dare devil. She thinks it is fun to get on our foot rest and rock back and forth. Scares me to death, so the foot rest spends a lot of time on the bed where she can't get to it.
It has been hard getting Josie to take naps in her crib, this is just one place she finally just crashed at.
Josie enjoying just one of my messes I make when working on things.
Felt shape box. I remember when my mom made these for my younger siblings. They are easy and lots of fun. You put a piece of felt on the inside and the felt shapes stick to it.
I got one of my old science books and went through and cut out every single animal and made this flip book of all different categories of animals. ( reptiles, horns, pollinators, desert, cold etc.)
I made my own princess matching game. I love to color and this was fun and easy to do.
I planted some beans, cucumber, tomatoes, and some flowers, and this is what came up. Now I have to figure out what to do when they get to big.

Fun Packed Weekend

This weekend was very eventful:

1. Friday: we went and ate the balance rock cafe for the first time. Such good food. We ran into our landlords and Josie had fun eating the super buttery toast.
2. We came home and camped out in our living room in our new tent. It was so much fun, but would have been better if we were outside.
2. Saturday morning we woke up before day light and drove up to Emma Park Road. Once there we met up with some rangers and looked for sage grouse. It is their mating season and the males put on quite a display. It was cold so we only got to see a few. We were able to borrow some scopes of other people there. We saw the males strut, gawk, and blow up their air sacks.
3. Came home from the sage grouse and ate breakfast, got ready for the day and did a few chores.
4. We went and saw the baby chicks at IFA. Josie couldn't stop cooing over them.
5. We went the to open house of a for sale by owner. We loved it and may end up buying it. It is so beautiful inside. My favorite things about it were: Yard, peach trees, deck, stainless steel appliances, stainglass windows, and large family room with a fire place. If you want to see more it is on KSL classifieds.
6. After seeing the house we came home and did some research on buying a home and looking into all those details, since we know little or nothing about buying a home.
7. We went to a furniture store and looked around for fun.
8. We went to Tony to see if we could win a free car. There were tons of people there and it was really cold. We had fun although we didn't win. Josie was really good and had fun staring at all the different types of people.

9. Came home ate some dinner watched some "Monk" ( Our new favorite T.V. show) and went to bed.

GOODBYE WEEKEND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEKEND!
