Update

It has been a crazy few months with lots going on and I have not been very good at blogging. This is just a summary of the fun things we got to do.

Wayne County - Ice Fishing with uncle Randy and visit with Grandma and Grandpa

Moab, The Black Box and Goblin Valley with Jordan's Family

Easter Weekend - Cedar Mtn and Working on our yard - My family visit
Our new chicken coop. Jordan and my dad spent the entire weekend on it and we love it!

Josie was a little scared of all the kids at the Easter egg hunt.
Dinosuar Quarry

Our Garden box we built - Our peas are now about an inch tall
New Bunk Beds
My precious daughter

I also got to go up to Davis County and do some observing at the end of March which was fun but required a lot of driving. I also attended the funeral of a dear friend Jessica Hunt, who has inspired me my whole life and will be greatly missed.

Now we are just waiting.... and waiting for our little boy to arrive. He is due here in just over a week. Hopefully he will come sooner, I think we are all ready.

Presidents Day Weekend the the one after that

PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND
Treehouse museum in Ogden with cousins

Brenda, Fran and Della came up from NM and stayed with us. So fun to see them.
We went to my dad's school and had fun in his Airplane simulator. Josie loved it and wouldn't get out.

THE NEXT WEEKEND
We decided to be spontaneous and go for a weekend somewhere fun. We drove to Green River Friday night, ate at the restaurant overlooking the river, stayed in a hotel there. The next day we drove out to the Binky sand dunes and just hung out for a while, then drove to Moab. In Moab we went on a short hike, went to Hole in the Rock and saw some fun animals and got Ice Cream and drove home. We stopped by IFA and saw the baby chicks too. Lots of fun but an exhausting day.
Swimming at the hotel

Swinging at the park by our house.

At hole in the rock near Moab. Josie wanted to ride the stone Lion
The first thing my Grandma said when she saw a picture of Jordan was that he looked like a Malboro Cowboy. We had to take a picture.
Feeding the camel at the exotic zoo near moab.
Hiking in Moab

We took a ton of shadow pictures and had a few turn out.
White wash dunes near green river, aka the Binky

Josie's 2nd Birthday and more

We celebrated Josie's birthday up in Centerville with my family and Jordan's parents. Lots of fun and Josie loved opening presents. She got a Dora backpack, a vacuum, doctor kit, stickers, a doll and a tricyle.

I made a butterfinger cake and it was really good.
The day of her birthday we let her open two more gifts. A dollhouse and a cleaning kit. I even got to use my banner I made last year.

Josie took a picture of herself and it actually turned out. She is saying cheese.

Painting in the bathtub

This weekend the weather was good so we spent sometime outside. We painted our pillar and door and think it turned out so much better looking. We drove the 4-wheeler around in our backyard and had fun riding the wagon down the driveway. Look below for the video.

We took a drive out to the reserve to look for elk. Didn't see any, but saw lots of deer.
More finger puppets for Josie

30 January 2012

Trying to make January exciting!

Josie likes to sit super close to the T.V. Now we have a rule she has to be on the carpet and can only watch 1 thing a day. Silly girl.
Our first real snow storm! We got stuck coming up our driveway coming home from church, I guess we are going to do a lot of shoveling.

Josie loves stickers and I had a idea of getting contact paper and putting it on the fridge and having Josie stick things on it. She had a blast. Her favorite were the buttons. She spent a long time putting things off and on.
CHEESE!!!

We went out to eat at a Chinese place and gave Josie a fortune cookie. She was so funny trying to eat this, as if to say, I thought you said this was a cookie, not a dry piece of whatever. We laughed so hard.

We went up to Provo on Saturday and spent the day there. We first stopped at the Monte L. Bean Life museum at BYU. Josie had a blast, some of the bigger animals scared her a little, but she warmed up as soon as she realized they were not real. I liked it for several reasons. It's free, doesn't smell, you can see the animals up close, and you don't have to walk around that much.

We went shopping at University Mall for a few hours and I had a great time. Jordan was very patient and let me enjoy my shopping. He really wasn't as bored as he looks.
We finished off the day by stopping at Krispie Kream. Jordan had never been inside to see how they make the donuts. We had a fun sticky time.
